This Privacy Policy explains how the RR Max Mobile application (“App”) collects, uses, and safeguards information when used in a retail environment for functions such as stock taking, fire sales, price checks, and label printing.

1. Information We Collect

The App is intended for enterprise use in retail environments. We limit data collection to only what is necessary to support core functionality:

a. Device Information

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App usage logs and crash reports (used exclusively to improve app stability and performance)

b. Camera & Scanner Access

  •  Purpose: The App accesses the device’s camera or built-in scanner solely to scan barcodes and QR codes for retail tasks.
  • Scope: Scanned data is processed in real-time and is not stored or transmitted to third parties.
  • No photos or videos are captured or saved—only encoded barcode/QR data is used for in-app operations.

2. Use of Information

Data collected or accessed through the App is used only to:

  • Enable retail operations such as barcode scanning, item lookup, and stocktaking
  •  Support label and receipt printing
  • Assist with fire sales and price verification
  • Improve app performance via anonymized crash and usage analytics

We do not collect personal data such as names, email addresses, or contact details. The App is intended for use in enterprise-managed settings, not by individual consumers

3. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to:

  •  Ensure all data processing occurs locally on the device or within the organization’s internal systems
  • Prevent unauthorized access to or misuse of business data
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the device’s data during use

The App does not transmit user or device data to Retail Realm servers or any third-party service.

4. Permissions Requested

To support its functionality, the App may request the following permissions:

  • Camera: For barcode and QR code scanning
  • Storage (if applicable): To temporarily store files needed for printing
  • Internet (optional): If the device is configured to sync data or print via local network infrastructure

5. No Personal Information Collected

The App does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII). It is designed for use solely by retail employees in secure, enterprise environments.
