Clover is both a payment hardware manufacturer and payment processor. Its cloud-based Android point of sale and payment platform was launched in April 2012. The company is headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA. Clover was acquired on December 28, 2012 by First Data Corporation. Bank of America Merchant Services was the first to announce it would sell Clover to its merchant base in October 2013.

Clover hardware is now combined with payment processing, giving Dynamics 365 merchants the ability to run their POS and Payments on a single purpose-built device.
